Terms of Use

Last updated on August 9, 2026

This document is a draft, still under legal review. We publish it marked as such rather than presenting it as final — the date above shows the last revision.

This is a translation. The Portuguese version is the one that governs, since the platform and its data-protection obligations are Brazilian.

These terms govern use of the Alicerçar platform by the church that adopts it and by anyone who signs in on its behalf.

The service

Alicerçar is a management system for churches: members, buildings, groups, ministries and gatherings, with attendance recording.

In the current version the service is offered free and with no member limit. Paid plans will exist in future, and no change of plan will delete or hide records that already exist.

Accounts and roles

An account belongs to the person who created it; access to a church is granted by whoever administers that church.

Each person reaches only what their roles justify. Keeping credentials private is the responsibility of whoever holds them — shared logins destroy the accountability the access controls rest on.

The church is responsible for reviewing who has access and for revoking it when someone leaves a role.

The church's responsibilities

The church is the controller of the data it records and answers for it: for the lawful basis of the processing, for the accuracy of the records, and for responding to data-subject requests.

The church undertakes to record only data it is entitled to process, and not to use the platform for any unlawful purpose or one that infringes the rights of others.

Acceptable use

You may not attempt to circumvent the platform's access controls, reach another church's data, deliberately overload the service, or resell access.

We may suspend access that compromises the security of other churches, stating the reason.

The data belongs to the church

A church's records are the church's. Export is a right, not a feature we sell: it is available on every plan including the free one, and after cancellation.

Plan limits restrict what a church can do — create, send — never what it already has. No existing record disappears over an invoice.

We delete a church's data when the church asks us to. Never as a consequence of billing.

Availability

We work to keep the service running, but we offer no guarantee of uninterrupted availability and there is no service-level agreement in the current version.

Scheduled maintenance is announced in advance wherever possible.

Termination

A church may stop using the platform at any time, and takes its data with it.

We may terminate an account for breach of these terms, with notice and time to export the records, except where the law requires immediate action.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages or lost profits arising from use of the service.

Nothing in these terms removes rights that Brazilian law grants and does not allow to be waived.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Brazilian law.

Changes to these terms

We tell churches with active accounts before any material change takes effect, and the date at the top shows the last revision.
